Minister of Interior Gordana Jankulovska visits the UK (29/06/2009)
With an aim to increase bilateral co-operation between UK and Macedonia, especially in the area of tackling organised crime, the British Embassy in Skopje in cooperation with the Macedonian Embassy in London organised a visit of the Macedonian Minister of Interior Gordana Jankulovska, to the UK.
During her stay, Minister Jankulovska spent a couple of days in London where she met FCO officials, and Members of Parliament. She then continued at a Wilton Park conference on organised crime and the impact of the economic crisis, accompanied by other Ministry of Interior officials.
The focus of the Wilton Park conference was to assess if the economic downturn will cause an upsurge in organised crime? On the margins of the conference, the Minister met relevant representatives from the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA).
