Democratic Institutions
Democracy is the only system of government in which individuals have the opportunity to fully realise their human rights. It involves a process of decision-making that respects the plurality of opinion provides a framework for non-violent change and manages disputes fully based on equal opportunity to participate in the political process. The UK provides support to a constructive and inclusive political dialogue in the framework of democratic institutions - the Parliament, the political parties and the state institutions supporting this process.
